As I write this, at this time in 1944, the initial stages of D Day had already been completed.
The start of the liberation of France had begun.
We will be remembering and celebrating with many others here in Normandy. For us, today, we will also be set up in a field ( Pegasus Bridge Museum grounds next to the original bridge! ) a stones throw from where the gliders landed, more or less the first allied feet on French soil for a good period of time. For us however, it will be fun. My mind cannot comprehend how the brave men who were there 79 years before will have been feeling.

For now, we will continue to enjoy our freedom.
