Windy

Writer: jmsjabbjmsjabb

Today was actually snowy! A day in London started at the War Rooms. Buried under Whitehall, the nerve centre where the British government directed the Second World War. Men and women worked and quite often lived in these dark rooms, deep underground. Churchill obviously had prime quarters along with his private chef and personal dining room.

Today, owned by the Imperial War Museum, the layout has been restored and makes a good mornings wander.

As for fine and warm, this weather board gave an idea of what it was doing above ground, where it may have been "Fine and warm" weather wise, it was far from it in all other senses.

"Windy" was put in when an immanent air raid was due, slang for feeling afraid .
