The first day of our campaign took us to the Radar museum grounds in Douvres. http://www.musee-radar.fr
Up ( far too ) early and out on the go, James thrown straight in to his first drive in the CMP. Odd pedal layout, crash gearbox, driving on the right and mad Frenchmen aside, we arrived comfortably and proceeded to set up for the first net of the morning.
The Sun was strong, Martins signal stronger and the UK eager to receive our waves, off we went! Wireless set 12 sender, reception set R107 and a home brew boost via Martins 814 x 2 RF Linear amplification was the first broadcast. To the joy of most, various stations in the UK we're comfortably able to hear and return voice across the English Channel.
Following are photos of day one!
